              👉️ Opportunity is real in Berlin and EMEA I was hiring for Amazon Berlin dev hub while we grew from ~25 people to more than 1500 since 2014. Talent was already so tight in US, that projects and teams moved to Berlin to fill headcount. GergelyOrosz has more growth insights

            👉️ Big orgs are slow to change I was on the diversity council at the Amazon Berlin office for 3 years. I learned how hard it is to change institutions at this scale, even when there is explicit energy allocated for DEI. We can do better.

        👉️ Anyone can be a coach codebar runs periodic workshops where students and coaches are paired up over discord. Coaches are matched by skills needed for students in the workshop. Teaching others is one of the best ways to validate and level up your own skills.

      👉️ Students have many paths In my first workshop, I met two women in Berlin who had both been through bootcamps and looking to make the jump. Luckily, university and certifications are optional and non-traditional paths are celebrated.

    👉️ WAGMI Both projects I helped with were for web3. When coaching, I separate my skepticism of any new tech and focus on my optimism in the students to realize their potential. Plus I learn something new. Web3 ventures look good for a start to lifelong learning journeys.
