mipsytipsy This is another really salient essay. I think I have been railing against hierarchy since I first heard the word. 😂 But I think biology deserves more weight. Changing behaviors is not like swapping ArrayList for LinkedList, where stuff mostly keeps working.Permalink On twitter.com

mipsytipsy To maintain, we have to stay self-aware of the fact that our unconscious mind will try to yank us back into evolutionary norms. Especially any time we become stressed or need to take shortcuts. TBH (and this pains me), sometimes hierarchy is the right tool.On twitter.com
